During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Our mission is to empower women with tools to work their way out of poverty, care for their families, and strengthen their communities. Women's Empowerment International (WE) assists impoverished women through local and global partnerships that offer microloans, training and practical support to start and grow businesses. WE was founded in San Diego in 2005 and is currently building toward greater impact with the leadership of our Executive Director and dedicated Board of Directors.
WE assists poor women entrepreneurs seeking to improve their lives here in San Diego and around the world. We believe that when women have access to the tools to earn a living, lives change. A comprehensive strategic planning process has resulted in the setting of ambitious growth goals to enable us to assist more determined women. Today, WE supports women in California, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Haiti and Uganda. In 2019, we added three new partnerships to our partner portfolio to assist more struggling women in San Diego and supporting the women-led recovery in Puerto Rico. Join us to be part of WE's next chapter in empowering determined women worldwide.
