Mission Statement

To empower individuals with financial understanding so they can make better life choices and therefore effectuate living more successful lives. Our purpose is to work with individuals, organization, groups, learning institutions, and companies to facilitate classes.

Description

As a non-profit organization our Board is committed to reaching out to our community through both on-line learning and face to face classroom interaction. As an organization we work collaboratively with community partners, other financial professions, and each other to accomplish our mission.

Financial Literacy First desires to teach people (especially young adults and at-risk youth) the benefits of becoming financially knowledgeable. In doing this we want our youth to reduce defaults on student loans, reduce personal debt, increase savings, improve retirement planning, and eliminate bank NSF charges.
