Mission Statement

Hands of Peace empowers American, Israeli, and Palestinian youth to become agents of change.

Description

Each summer Hands of Peace brings a group of interfaith Jewish-Israeli, Palestinian Citizens of Israel, Palestinian, and American teenagers to Chicago for a 19-day, dialogue-based experience with one another. We stand for creating impactful and lasting change through developing future leaders who are committed to a positive and just world.

While the Summer Program is the focal point of our organization, there are ways for everyone, regardless of age, to become involved!

Throughout the year, Hands of Peace relies on the passion and skills of dedicated volunteers. We would love to find a spot that matches your talents and availability and help you become a part of our team.

Volunteers help with things like:

- recruiting host families
- providing meals during the summer program
- planning events like the Farewell Celebration and Spring Benefit
- planning and hosting HOPEducation nights
- helping in the office with technical support
- writing grants for financial assistance

Please volunteer however you can. Any help is appreciated!
