Description

Genesis Healthcare Perrysburg Center is a skilled nursing facility consisting of 93 beds, caring staff, lively residents, a unit specialized for memory care, respite services, a hospice wing and an outstanding therapy department! We have two Recreational Therapists on staff that ensure the residents not only remain active but receive true, therapeutic activities! The center houses many Veterans that we make sure to celebrate and serve. We are dedicated to the lives we take care of and wish to acquire volunteers that can join us in providing compassion and services to our residents!

I enjoyed my experience. I have a 9 year old autistic son who goes everywhere with me, and they were very welcoming of him. I enjoy volunteering, but in most situations, he is not able to be where I am, so I don't get to do as much as I'd like. I recommend Genesis because they were understanding, I saw nothing but positive people while there working with the patients, and they were very appreciative of the work I did. Several patients stopped to tell me how lovely their new door was. Thank you for accepting us, and letting me help in a way I could.
