The Grove City Education Center for Adults provides adult education services to Grove City area individuals who are not enrolled in a secondary school. GCECA assists area residents to meet their goals through educational achievement. GCECA creates positive relationships with students through small group classes and one-on-one tutoring.
The Grove City Education Center for Adults (GCECA) has been serving adults for more than 20 years. Originally called Grove City Literacy Council, the Center was founded in 1990 by a group of local residents. Concerned about the national literacy statistics for adults and aware of a growing need for literacy in the community, they founded the Grove City Education Center for Adults based on the model of other literacy councils in similar-sized towns. The GCECA was originally located in a second-floor location on Broad Street, Grove City. The Center is currently located on South Center Street in the Olde Town Grove City building. We provide small group and one-to-one instruction to adults interested in passing their GED or improving their literacy skills in reading, writing, math, English or computer use.
