Description

On Saturday, March 9, 2019, the Parenting Education Department will be holding its 42 nd Annual Family Fun Day. This special event raises money to support those parents who meet eligibility requirements for reduced costs to attend our classes. This is a carnival type event geared for families with children aged 0-6. During this event, we have a drawing supported by donations of items by community members. We sell drawing tickets for these items. We also sell tickets to "play" the various activities such as bounce houses, a putting green, and playdough, just to mention a few.

In 2017-2018, we gave out 62 grants totaling $5,332.22 to local families in need. These families could not have otherwise attended a Parenting Education class. During the Fall Term of this year, we gave out 21 grants totaling over $1,700.00. We are looking for volunteers to help with this one day event.
