Mission Statement

We are dedicated to raising awareness of Chagas disease, a serious heart condition caused by a parasite. We screen and treat Latin American immigrants with this disease free of charge.

Description

We are a small non-profit that started ad-hoc screenings in mobile consulates, but then joined forces with a Johns Hopkins research group and were able to screen over 1600 individuals. We now have a weekly clinic to provide follow up care for the patients we have identified, and continue to offer free screening. We speak to medical groups to raise awareness about this condition, and how to treat patients who are affected.
