To shift a mindset, change a landscape, and make a difference. We are Somali-Americans who have personal experiences with perpetual poverty and lack of access to education in a country with the lowest school age enrollment in the world. Fortunately, we are the few who found a better path through the generosity of a few extraordinary individual - an uncle, a brother, a cousin, a distant family friend. But this cycle continues to have lasting consequences for families.

Will You Join Us to extend education, hope and opportunity to a child? Karin Foundation is our US based nonprofit organization supporting Burao Academy of Science and Technology located in Somaliland. We are committed to donate our own time and resources to create a life-changing environment for Somali youth, thus we pledged zero management compensation. That means there are so many opportunities to volunteer/intern for Burao Academy through Karin Foundation, including marketing, grant writing and mentoring students via Skype/emails. Take the first by contacting us and we'll find the right project for you - temporary or permanent.
