I was promptly kicked out PACE's Kanesville Symphony Orchestra after complaining about some diversity and inclusion issues and requesting a leave of absence because I was in the hospital (I was told that my termination was for health reasons). I complained to the PACE employees directly in charge of the ensemble about some harassment I had experienced. One refused to talk to me and the other condescendingly called me a "strong independent woman" and said that I needed to know my place and be more submissive to male authority. I was also told that I was unqualified to practice law (I've been a lawyer since 2010). I had spent four years volunteering for the ensemble, typically working at least 3 evenings/20 hours a week a week to promote the group and the players in it, with zero complaints. The situation was very traumatic for me. PACE continued to mail me requests from donations after banning me from their group for complaining about harassment.
