Description
A non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community through living and sharing the classical teachings of Yoga. The San Francisco Integral Yoga Institute, founded by Swami Satchidananda offers public Yoga instruction, meditation, Yoga teacher training, and a residency program. The Institute has been serving the Bay Area since 1970 through the service and dedication of our teachers who donate their time and energy and help to create a special atmosphere of love and support..
Known for its clarity, directness, and spiritual focus, Integral Yoga offers a traditional and balanced approach to the ancient teachings of Yoga. The Institute offers daily drop-in Hatha Yoga classes (with asana, pranayama and meditation) ranging from gentle to advanced, and longer free group meditations. We also offer Teacher Trainings, Courses, Workshops and Special Events focusing on many specific aspects of Yoga - including stress-reduction, philosophy, health, and spiritual growth.
Our Basic Yoga Teacher Training program has been training teachers and changing lives for over twenty-five years. As a founding member of the Yoga Alliance (the national organization of Yoga teachers) our Basic Yoga Teacher Training program certifies each graduate at the Yoga Alliance RYT 200-hour level. This program is successfully applied by thousands of teachers around the world.
We offer advanced training for yoga teachers to deepen their understanding of Yoga and their teaching skills and advance towards certification at the RYT 500-hour level.
