Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide the best quality of life possible to wildlife rescued from illegal trading, and to diminish animal trafficking through educational programs and public action, in partnership with the authorities and other organizations. Through this work we aim to inspire mankind to uphold values that promote conservation and the recuperation of biodiversity.

Description

Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY) runs three Wildlife Custody Centres within the Bolivian jungle, where injured, ill or mistreated wild animals receive care and rehabilitation. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about wild animal welfare, conservation, animal behaviour and applied ethology, animal rehabilitation or wildlife medicine to help us with animal care and daily running of the centres. More information about each of our three wildlife centres is available on www.IntiWaraYassi.org.
