Gain invaluable field research experience working with wildlife in remote locations around the world. Operation Wallacea offers the opportunity to acquire a wide range of skills working with different animals and also to collect your own data if you plan to do a dissertation or senior thesis project.
Description
Operation Wallacea (Opwall) is an organisation that runs a series of biological and conservation management research programs in remote locations across the world. These expeditions are designed with specific wildlife conservation aims in mind - from identifying areas needing protection, through to implementing and assessing conservation management programs. We invite students to work alongside our scientists to collect real life data first hand. Volunteers also have the opportunity to collect their own data for a senior thesis or dissertation project.
