Mission Statement

To empower young women to become problem solvers, leaders and change makers. We do that through investing in their education, providing leadership opportunities, and by catalyzing changes in social attitudes.

Go Laadli’s vision is a world where each girl is empowered to unlock her highest potential, realize her dreams and be an agent of change.

Here is our three-pronged plan to develop and nurture girl leadership:

The Lead Like a Girl Challenge

The Challenge asks high school girls in India to come up with solutions to problems faced by girls and /women in their communities. The top contestants based on merit as well as need are awarded college scholarships. In addition to creating awareness around women's issues, the Challenge engages girls in their communities and in real-world problem solving around issues that affect them and/ their peers. Given the importance of education in effective girl empowerment, our Challenge is also created as a unique scholarship opportunity to encourage girls to attend college.

Girl Advisory Board (GAB)

The GAB is an opportunity for girls from varied backgrounds to engage in workshops that equip them to be change-agents, give them an opportunity for their voices are heard and provide practical development of relevant skills to drive meaningful reforms in gender equality.

Mentoring program

In addition to providing scholarships and an opportunity to be a GAB member, the winners of the Challenge will be matched with mentors in a one-of-its-kind mentoring program.
