Mission Statement

Our mission is to improve the quality of education and WASH resources for the vulnerable communities in and around Ensenada, Mexico by working with communities to create sustainable and accessible solutions.

Description

Public Health Initiative was started as a student organization at San Diego State University to provide for some of the immediate needs facing communities around Ensenada, Mexico with a focus on dental and handwashing hygiene. Today, we are expanding to meet WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) standards and improve access to education.

We are in the process of becoming a 501(c)3.
