CHILDRENS CUP

Description

Hollow eyes. Runny noses. Constant coughing. Gnawing tummies. Hurting little hearts. Hopeless lives.

These words describe the condition of some of the little ones God called us to serve. Children who didn’t ask to be brought into the world, and don’t understand the hurts they endure. When we were just very young children, my late husband and founder of Children’s Cup, Dave Ohlerking, and I were tapped on the heart by Jesus to reach these little ones for Him. In 1992 we were privileged to establish Children’s Cup and began to minister to the hurting ones, bringing food, clean water, medical care and HOPE. Hope’s name is Jesus.

Millions of meals later, thousands of children later, we continue to make a difference in little lives because caring people have joined hands with us to help change their worlds. Children who have grown up at the CarePoints are now becoming the teachers and caretakers and community leaders because they have learned how to forgive and love. Laughing eyes. Happy giggles. Full tummies. Healthy bodies. Hearts full of love. HOPE is born.

Our four-part strategy in giving hope is simple, yet effective. We provide physical, spiritual, educational, and economic support. Most of all, we give children an opportunity to learn about Christ.
