The Alpine Mountain Empire Chamber is a progressive proactive professional organization dedicated to serving the business community and the community at large.
Serving the unincorporated San Diego County community of Alpine and a number of other communities in the eastern Mountain Empire region, the Alpine Chamber relies on an energetic group of volunteers and professional staff to help direct and influence business activities. The Chamber is membership driven with members comprised of businesses, individuals and civic organizations.
Eastern San Diego County offers some of the finest scenery in the U.S. and the weather is consistently superb. The East County Visitor's Bureau calls the area "The Sunny Side of San Diego." A U.S. government survey once declared that Alpine's climate is the best in the nation. The town slogan became, "Best Climate in the U.S.A. by Government Report"
East County is home to various eco-systems, possible the most diverse in the U.S. Visitors can drive from dense pine forests to a desert setting with huge rock formations in a matter of minutes.
With a population of about 18,000, Alpine is considered to be the jumping off point for the greater East County region.
