Mission Statement

Champs For Autism mission is to empower individuals with Autism and their families. We do this through providing inclusive educational and recreational programs. Our goal is to ensure that individuals with Autism are not defined by their disabilities, but that people will learn to love their abilities and the gifts they have to offer to the world.

Description

Champs For Autism goal is to expand nationwide and provide educational, and recreational programs for individuals with Autism. At this time we host an annual " I Believe In Me Fashion Show" where children with and without disabilities get together and rip the runway. Our runway is a representation of hope, and encouragement. The parents that allow their children to participate , are always amazed at their child's progress and courage. The children walk before an audience of 300 -400 people, without fear and full of courage!

We also are on the mission to create reading and math literacy programs for children on the spectrum. We are also hosting seminars to teach parents of children with special needs to transition from emotions to becoming an advocate for their children. Parents are the number one advocate, but due to their passion it holds them back from being effective in their advocacy for their child. We will go around the nation teaching parents key details to become a better advocate for their child.
