Mission Statement

Its goals are to present classical music for residents, to enhance musical education throughout the Bay Area, and to provide opportunities for musicians to create a variety of rich musical experiences for the enjoyment of the community. To further enhance music education within the community, the symphony also holds an Annual Youth Concerto Competition and provides a variety of scholarships to students around the Bay Area. Individuals and small groups of symphony musicians even perform in local schools and libraries as schedules permit, at no cost to the students.

Description

Started in 1976, the Clear Lake Symphony is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation entering its 43rd season this Fall. The Clear Lake Symphony offers six regular season performances including the very popular Christmas "Pops" Gala. To further enhance music education within the community, the symphony also holds an Annual Youth Concerto Competition and provides a variety of scholarships to students around the Bay Area. Individuals and small groups of symphony musicians even perform in local schools and libraries as schedules permit, at no cost to the students.
