Description
The Arts Caravan in collaboration with other charitable organizations, has developed audience-inclusive traveling programs, which are intended to stimulate civic engagement, promote literacy, and motivate audiences to take action and get involved in their communities. The programs include socially relevant short plays, interactive improvisation, living history presentations, face-to-face panel discussions, educational workshops, distribution of educational and community resources, and access to public library materials. The Arts Caravan travels to many public venues throughout Louisville annually, including events at the Ali Center, the Garvin Gate Blues Festival, the Better Block celebration in the Beechmont neighborhood, the Summerbridge program, and many others.
