Mission Statement

Fresh Start Ventures helps people transition out of incarceration successfully by pairing them with mentors and assisting with education, employment, homeownership, and sobriety. This is done through high-quality empowerment training programs and micro housing solutions to establish a life of dignity. This also reduces recidivism rates that are costly to tax payers.

Description

Fresh Start Ventures has been working with the men and women in the state of Utah who are incarcerated in the jails and prisons throughout the state and after their release. We provide a community of support with mentors. Mentors ensure individuals are established with housing, employment, and education. Fresh Start Ventures has a business development program and a home ownership program. We support families of incarcerated individuals. Fresh Start Ventures approach is trauma informed informed. Meaning many of those incarcerated have experienced adverse childhood events and trauma and those who work in Fresh Start Ventures understand this and help the individual to find success in their life. Fresh Start Ventures also has a homeownership program. We believe that homeownership offers stability for the individual in healthy neighborhoods and is a pathway to success.
