Mission Statement

The mission of Mercy Care is to provide elders with companionship, friendship, assistance and spiritual care and to provide education and advocacy on behalf of elders.

Description

Mercy Care is a mission of the Sisters of Mercy. It has three direct service programs that serve elders living independently in the community:

  • Friendship Volunteer Program providing companionship and assistance to elders with activities such as friendly home visits, outings, transportation to appointments, grocery shopping
  • Faith Community Nurse Program in which specially prepared RN's promote health and healing with activities such as health education, spiritual care, advocacy
  • Caregiver Friend Program providing companionship and assistance to caregivers on their journey of caring for a loved one.
