Purpose: This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) department. Disaster Action Team (DAT) ServiceAssociates serve on a team to provide 24-hour immediate support and assistance to individuals and families whohave been impacted by a home fire or other local disaster Responsibilities: Works as part of an assigned team to respond to local disasters within established time frames defined in the Disaster Action Team Program Standards & Procedures. Commits to being available during assigned shifts in RC Respond, the DAT scheduling system, andcommunicating scheduling conflicts with DAT Leadership. Maintains regular communication with Duty Officer and other members of the team while assigned toan event to ensure continuity and safety. Creates cases in RC Care, and complete confirmations as a second responder. Provides care, comfort, and compassion to clients (in accordance with Red Cross standards andprocedures). Works with on-scene DAT leader to assess whether additional resources/support are required andcommunicates those needs to DAT Leadership. Tracks, issues, and maintains personal inventory of Client Assistance Cards. Attends regularly scheduled team/DAT meetings as required by Chapter/Region. Supports DAT capacity building by mentoring and training DAT responders on DAT responses andexercises when available. Maintains RC Care Intake Worker user access

Purpose: This position supports the Regional Biomedical Services department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or performing work in a Red Cross facility. Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience. Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and set the stage for a long-term commitment to regular blood donations. Express gratitude and ensure each blood donor is sincerely thanked for their donation. Responsibilities: Greet donors, explain the donation process as necessary and assist with initial intake and hand offs through the blood donation process Direct donor to next step of donation or options for future donations if deferred. Model excellent customer service behaviors. Ensure blood donors have relevant information and that questions are answered appropriately while creating a favorable impression of the blood donation process. Learn and share the Red Cross story, including the mission, vision, and values Provide customer service to donors in the Hospitality Area by ensuring that each donor is recognized for his/her contribution. Report possible adverse post-donation physical reactions to the collections staff. This position supports the Regional Volunteer Services department. Assists the implementation of the regional volunteer recruitment plan by performing volunteer recruitment activities to attract a skilled, talented and diverse volunteers workforce to service in all lines of business around the organization Purpose: Reports To: EMP: VS: Volunteer Recruitment Senior Specialist Responsibilities: Assists in the development and implementation of volunteer workforce recruitment activities. Recruits volunteers for all lines of service and departments. Meets with Volunteer Management team to determine targeted recruitment needs in the region. Proactively recruits new volunteers for general and specific volunteer opportunities. Recruits current volunteers for new opportunities and leadership positions. Researches outreach events and fairs. Reaches out to community groups to set up recruitment presentations. Plans and carries out recruitment events in communities served by the region, for both identified partner groups and open-call interest meetings. Promotes volunteer opportunities at community events. Advertises and markets for open-call events. Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per month, often evenings and weekends. Qualifications: Broad understanding of the American Red Cross and its opportunities for volunteer service. Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs.
