Mission Statement

The mission of the Humane Society is to shelter and care for lost and unwanted animals, to place them into humane environments, and to implement programs which increase everyone's awareness of their responsibilities to all animals.

Description

The Humane Society of Grand Forks is a private, not-for-profit animal care organization incorporated since 1973. HSGF receives no state or federal funds but does receive funds from the city of Grand Forks and from Grand Forks county to assist with the care of animals from those areas. We also serve as the community's impound facility and receive between 2,00 and 3,000 animals per year. We accept strays from any area. Animals given up by their owners are accepted as space becomes available.
