Mission Statement

The Online Career Guide Mentor Program is offered entirely online through email communication and supports the professional development of currently enrolled Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) and Metropolitan College (MC) students preparing to enter the workforce. The Online Career Guide Mentor Program provides an opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals who will serve as their "Career Guides" for brief, one-time feedback in one or more of the following areas: Resume Review, LinkedIn Profile Review, and Career Portfolio Review. Students and Career Guides may extend their contact beyond the one-time feedback session, if mutually agreed upon.

Metropolitan College is a partnership among UPS, Jefferson Community and Technical College, the University of Louisville, state, county and city government. The purpose of Metropolitan College is to provide educational and workplace opportunities that serve to facilitate the integration of educational goals, career development and personal life.

Jefferson Community and Technical College

Jefferson Community and Technical College provides comprehensive educational services to the region. The college has six campuses that serve over 13,000 students in both urban and rural settings. JCTC is committed to being responsive to individuals and businesses. Thus, the college offers diplomas, certificates, degrees and customized training classes through programs that meet the educational and workforce needs of the community.
