The vision of Monarch Academy is to give students and parents the opportunity to access a curriculum that not only offers a world-class education, but that also emphasizes interpersonal skills. Monarch Academy intends to provide an authentic learner-centered atmosphere - putting the child at the center of their education and understanding- to the community of Killeen, Tx.

Description

Our mission at Monarch Academy is to mold the young men and women in the community into productive, intelligent and responsible citizens of the city through our innovative and rigorous curriculum that is aligned with TEKS and with the learner-centered curriculum. To ensure our mission and vision are being correctly aligned with TEKS and our LCC, frequent teacher/student feedback and classroom assessments (both formative and summative) will be an integral part of Monarch Academy. At Monarch Academy, students will be able to get the one on one attention that is needed to make a student successful. Monarch Academy intends to target students that want a high-quality education, but because they are considered at risk (minority and low socioeconomic population in this specific community), aren’t able to get. We also intend to target students that want to excel in their studies, but because of the large population of students are not able to get the knowledge and understanding they would get in a smaller, more personal setting.
