The San Fernando Valley Chapter of Children & Adults with ADHD (CHADD of San Fernando Valley) exists to improve the lives of people in our community who are impacted by ADHD -- children, adults and their families. We offer resources, information, and education as well as free support groups and speaker meetings most every month throughout the Valley. Our goal is to build a strong, educated, ADHD-savvy community in the San Fernando Valley. Our chapter welcomes all who are affected by or involved in supporting ADHD - parents, adults, family, educators and treatment professionals.
Founded in 1987, CHADD is a national, non-profit, tax-exempt [Section 501(c)(3)] organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with ADHD and their families. With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CHADD operates the National Resource Center (NRC) on ADHD and publishes a variety of education materials to keep members and professionals current on research advances, medications and treatments affecting individuals with ADHD. These materials include CHADD.org, The NRC Library, Attention magazine, Attention weekly, a free electronically mailed current events newsletter, as well as other publications of specific interest to educators, professionals and parents. CHADD has chapters throughout the country who work to support the mission of the organization and improve the lives of those with ADHD in the local communities.
