Description

Martin Luther King Christian Academy (MLKCA) was established as a K4 - 8th Christian Academy in the early 1980's in the mid-city area of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It has been at its present address for more than 20 years. Our school believes humanity and the universe to be the handiwork of the Divine Creator Who guides and sustains all. God is considered the Source of all knowledge and wisdom, and His revealed will is the standard of right and truth. A true knowledge of God, fellowship, and communion with Him in study and service, and likeness to Him in character development are to be respectively the source, the means and the aim of Your School.
This being its philosophical foundation, our School endeavors to provide its pupils with an educational program that leads to a full commitment of their social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual resources to the service of God and man. It exists to provide a quality education in an atmosphere conducive to the development of the spiritual and academic life of the student. Our school conducts a distinctive educational program based on a curriculum designed to prepare the student to effectively manage the experiences of everyday life.
