Description

The Salvation Army of Jackson County is one of 56 Service Extension Units of The Salvation Army, Indiana Division. The Unit is made up of local citizens, business and professional people serving the needs of all people in their community. The services offered by The Salvation Army of Jackson County include assistance for: Utilities, rent, lodging, transportation, medication (Non-Narcotic), clothing (Steel-toed work boots), and disaster assistance. In addition The Salvation Army of Jackson County participates in the following: League of Mercy - A nursing home visitation program. Tools for Schools - Offering school supplies for students needing assistance. Hidden Falls Camp - Summer camp programs in Bedford, IN. Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation. Domestic Violence assistance. The primary fund raiser for The Salvation Army of Jackson County is the annual Red Kettle Campaign. Other forms of financial support are given through individual donations, corporate and business gifts, grants, local fundraisers and churches. The money that is raised here stays here.
