Mission Statement

To enhance and meet the challenges of reentry by developing a comprehensive evidence-based approach that will provide in-house services and accommodations. Our goal is to increase the organization’s ability to better serve our clients and customers in the DMV area.

Description

Keep It Movin (K.I.M.), Inc. is an innovative 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings together previously-incarcerated women to collaborate with one another while promoting regional coordination initiatives that are designed to improve their lives through empowerment, motivation, and education. The organization will offer many opportunities for the reduction of unemployment and poverty through the use of intervention techniques and educational strategies. We support the development of essential vocational development techniques, life skills, and healthier lifestyles. By assisting our women, K.I.M. hopes to create a stronger community by giving our women a solid foundation for future success.
