Mission Statement

The mission of the LegUp Program is to provide supportive employment and housing success programs to those who are homeless and at-risk of becoming homeless.

Description

We provide programs designed to build on the great work done by the shelter community through teaching classes designed to help clients get jobs and housing

JumpStart: Many of our clients have been out of the job market for several years and need a refresher course on how to re-enter the workforce. Resumes, proper attire, job interview skills are just a few of the skills we revisit.

Ready to Rent: Ready to Rent benefits participants by educating potential renters about their right sand responsibilities as renters. Participants learn about affordable housing and the steps to take to overcome screening barriers such as evictions, criminal history, and credit problems.

Mock Interviews: Everyone completing the LegUp Program is encouraged to fine-tune those lost interview skills that being out of work may have weakened. Our panel of Community Volunteers will coach individuals to achieve maximum interview success.
