Mission Statement
The Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable (PCPR) seeks to strengthen a community of college access and success practitioners who believe in the potential of all individuals and help students navigate the path to and through higher education. We provide tools, resources and opportunities for discourse; support leadership development in the field; and seek to bridge the gap between policy, research and practice in the area of college access and completion.
Description
Over the years, the focus of PCPR has expanded beyond information sharing to include a broader range of activities for supporting practitioners; however, the focus on the success of any student achieving a college education has remained a constant objective of the work. Today, PCPR’s focus is primarily on three strands of work:
- Developing and strengthening a community of practitioners in the Philadelphia region through networking and professional development opportunities.
- Contributing our expertise to school district and city level conversations which impact on enhancing college access and success strategies and practices.
- Advocating for stronger college access and success guidance for students in the Philadelphia region.
