Mission Statement

The Cape Coral Art League (CCAL) enhances the quality of life in Cape Coral by engaging our diverse community in high-quality art education and exhibitions. CCAL strengthens the fabric of our community by engaging youth in creative activities that develop discipline, problem-solving skills and decision-making and give them a sense of achievement and personal worth. All students are welcome regardless of skill set. CCAL faculty is comprised of professional, practicing artists who are experienced teachers. CCAL is an integral part of the community. We offer in-depth arts education programs in our classrooms and present exhibitions in our Gallery as well as many local venues.

Description

The CCAL was chartered in 1965 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 and 501(a)2 charity organization that promotes the advancement of art throughout Southwest Florida. It was incorporated in 1966. The current studio location was built and opened in 1984. A beautiful Gallery addition was opened in April 1991. With the help of a state grant, a second art room studio was built in 2002 providing more space for art classes, workshops and many more art events. The CCAL offers year-round classes for adults, youth and children; eight (8) major art exhibitions each year in our Gallery, other art shows including our annual Art Fair and workshops with world-renowned artists and scholarship programs.
