Mission Statement

Our mission is to help students get into college, graduate, and go far in life. As one of the first organizations to focus on college graduation for first-generation students from low-income backgrounds, Bottom Line now produces best-in-class graduation rates that eliminate the gap between low-income students and their wealthiest peers.

Description

Bottom Line was founded in 1997 as a small program supporting 25 high school seniors in Boston. Our organization has grown dramatically over the last 20 years and now serves over 7,000 students across Massachusetts, New York, and Chicago.

To date, almost 2,200 first-generation students have earned their bachelor’s degrees with the aid of our proven program. By 2020, the number of Bottom Line graduates will be around 4,800 and we will be setting the new standard for college and career success.
