Volunteer Job Description: Technology Solutions Specialist Organization: Organ Transplant Support (OTS) Location: Far West Suburbs of Chicago (Remote options available) Position Type: Volunteer Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per month (initial assessment and implementation), additional 5 hours per month during maintenance period About Us: Organ Transplant Support (OTS) is a dedicated organization that aims to provide resources, support, and community for individuals navigating the challenges of organ transplantation. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Technology Solutions Specialist to join our team as a volunteer. This role is crucial in helping us assess our current processes and develop a comprehensive plan for improvements through technology integration. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing our operational efficiency, ultimately supporting our mission to serve the transplant community. Key Responsibilities: Assessment of Current Processes: Conduct interviews and gather insights from OTS volunteers to map existing processes. Technology Integration: Assess the use of current platforms (SquareSpace, Neon One, Constant Contact, PayPal) and recommend system-based solutions for better integration and performance. Development of Implementation Plan: Collaborate with team members to prioritize technology needs and develop an actionable plan for implementation over a 12-18 month period. Execution of Solutions: Lead the implementation of approved technology solutions, ensuring smooth integration with existing processes. Ongoing Support: During the maintenance period, provide technical support and guidance as needed to keep systems running efficiently and effectively. Desired Qualifications: Proven experience with SquareSpace, Neon One, Constant Contact, and PayPal platforms. Strong understanding of processes and systems integration within non-profit or community organizations. Ability to conduct interviews and gather requirements from diverse stakeholders. The mission of OTS is to provide education, support and resources for organ transplant candidates and recipients and their families. We also promote organ donation awareness at hospitals, conferences and other events throughout Chicago.
Description
Organ Transplant Support provides educational / support meetings every month with a guest speaker on a topic related to organ transplants. We produce a newsletter 6 times each year that is sent to a mailing list of over 600 people. We also have two special events every year, a tree planting ceremony in April dedicated to honoring our organ donors, and a membership anniversary celebration brunch in September.
