Mission Statement

We offer free classes in English, GED, Workplace Literacy, and Basic Skills. For more information call 651-460-3212 or email tkreighbaum@farmington.k12.mn.us Volunteers in our classrooms provide "a second pair of hands" for licensed/trained teachers. Most volunteers commit to 2.5 or 3 hours a week. No prior teaching or classroom experience is required, just a love for people and an openness to learn about different cultures in your community! Training is offered at different times throughout the year.

Description


Dakota Prairie Adult Basic Education offers free classes for adults in the Farmington, Northfield and Randolph school district areas. Classes are FREE for those who are looking to learn English as a Second Language (ESL), earn a GED or HS diploma, wish to brush up on basic skills, or would like to prepare for entering college or the workforce. Students must be at least 17 years old, not enrolled in high school, and have basic skills needs or need to learn English.
