Mission Statement

Volunteers are the backbone of our state park system. Every year they account for hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours, and without their support, our state parks would not be where they are today. It is the mission of the parks to conserve, manage and interpret our resources while creating memorable experiences for everyone. We cannot do that without the help of our ever-loyal volunteers.

Description

Indiana State Parks have been interpreting the cultural and natural resources for decades. Many parks & reservoirs have year-round programs available to the public- from guided hikes to take-home crafts. To successfully connect with our visitors, we often need the help of volunteers for these fun & educational programs. If you'd like to get involved, please contact your local state park!
