Circle of Rights, Inc., a charitable non-profit corporation, has been formed to provide education, support, encouragement, hope, and opportunity for those whose lives can be changed by stroke and other related conditions. These individuals deserve the right to: - Know how these conditions can be prevented, - Understand the risk factors and complete a personal assessment of these risks, - Create and follow an individual health and wellness program to improve or eliminate these risks, - Initiate measures to improve quality of life, looking toward a better and more rewarding future, - Be proud, have dignity and receive the respect of others, and - Realize that those who provide care deserve recognition and gratitude. Circle of Rights shall muster all its strengths and forces, contacts, effectiveness and power, influence, capabilities and abilities to support this vital mission.
Circle of Rights was started in 2008. Susan Emery, a co-founder, is a stroke surivor from age 9. Circle if Rights was started in Montgomery County, Maryland and the organization
is looking for volunteers to help start a chapter in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Circle of Rights uses its skills and knowledge to inform individuals and their families about chronic conditions that can lead to stroke by giving presentations blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease abd stroke.
