Luncheon Coordinator will conduct Bi-weekly or monthly luncheons/dinners organized to bring the veteran patients together and offer them a taste of home with a warm meal and friendly volunteer interaction. These may include movie night themed meals, holiday meal events, Thanksgiving dinner and summer outdoor BBQ's. The VA Representative will assist planning special events and coordinating the distribution of goods and services as well as provide Soldiers’ Angels program support to veterans in the VA Medical Center, VA clinics, VA vet centers and other VA facilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the VA Representative in the recruitment, retention, and recognition of volunteers. Outreach within the local community. Coordinate delivery of Soldiers’ Angels programs with the CDCE committee and appropriate VA staff. Track Soldiers’ Angels programs, volunteer opportunities, and donations to the VA. Assist tracking national campaigns (donations Girl Scout Cookies etc.), to include picture requirement.
