Cambridge Lake Charter School

Cambridge Lakes Charter School (CLCS) opened its doors in September 2007 with 484 students and has been growing ever since. CLCS is currently made up of four small color-coded schools and is located on the campus of the Cambridge Lakes Learning Center in the growing town of Pingree Grove, IL. CLCS is a K-8 charter school with a Blended e-Learning Academy high school program. A charter school is a free school of choice that is independently managed and publicly funded operating under a charter. A charter is a contract between the school, the state and the educational partner that allows for significant autonomy and flexibility. We are proud to have District 300 and the state of Illinois as our educational partners. We are a highly ranked school in the state of Illinois due to our focus on high-achievement learning. This is a result of our approach to students' personal learning needs.
