Our mission is to give those afflicted with Parkinson’s the tools and support they need to achieve a higher quality of life.

Description

stoPD (support and training to overcome Parkinson’s Disease) is 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2014 by Dr. Roberta Marongiu and Alex Montaldo. We offer programming to the Parkinson’s communities in Los Angeles and New York. We believe that programs for people with Parkinson’s disease should be conceived, developed, and run by Parkinson’s experts who know the disease and its motor and non-motor symptoms. Roberta has over 15 years of experience in Parkinson’s research and Alex has a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, plus extensive physical and vocal training.

stoPD’s programs have been featured in both national and local news media. stoPD is a National Parkinson Foundation and HollyRod Foundation grant recipient.
