Description

Grandmas2Go serves struggling and "at-risk" families in Southern Oregon who are separated from extended family - either by distance or dysfunction. Our home visiting services are available free to any family that needs our help. Our volunteers undergo background checks and receive 12 hours of basic training including: childhood brain growth; the lifelong effects of early trauma; current best practices in infant/toddler care; positive parenting; and compassionate listening skills; plus continuing education at Grandma Gatherings held twice each month. We enjoy our time with families as well as time spent with like-minded women who are staying active, involved and giving back to their communities.
Grandmas2Go-Family Coaches was named one of the top five most innovative, intergenerational programs in the 2017 Encore Prize competition; and has been featured in Forbes and MarketWatch, as well as in local and regional media.
