Mission Statement

The purpose of the Highland Public Library is to connect community members of all ages with materials, programs and services which encourage lifelong learning, personal growth and enjoyment. The library will provide resources in the most efficient manner possible assembling print and non-print materials, introducing new technologies to provide reliable and relevant information. This service is provided on a fair and equitable basis to all individuals residing in the Highland Central School District.

Description

As the community grows so does the library. The library that began as a simple reading room in 1915 has grown to include videos, DVDs, books on CD, books on tape, music CDs, toys, audiovisual kits and many other materials to meet the demands of the population served. In addition, we offer dozens of programs every month which include storytimes for younger children, craft and technology programs for all ages, and larger events open to the entire community and families.
