We are a volunteer free clinic, serving immigrant families who can't get care elsewhere. We're always excited to work with good bilingual volunteers. We'll train you in medical interpreting, checking vital signs and other exciting skills. We're looking for people who are interested in healthcare, believe in immigrants rights, and can commit to volunteering several shifts a month. Look us up and consider joining our team! About Phoenix Allies for Community Health (PACH) Phoenix Allies for Community Health (PACH) is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for health equity and providing quality healthcare to marginalized communities. Our mission is driven by a commitment to social justice and a belief that everyone deserves access to essential healthcare services. Why It's Important The Assistant to the Vice President plays a vital role in supporting the Vice President and ensuring the efficient operation of PACH's administrative functions. By providing administrative assistance and organizational support, this position enables the Vice President to focus on strategic priorities and initiatives that advance PACH's mission of promoting health equity and advocating for marginalized communities. The Assistant to the Vice President contributes to the overall success and impact of PACH by facilitating effective communication, coordination and collaboration across the organization. Position Overview The Assistant to the Vice President plays a crucial role in supporting the Vice President of PACH in various administrative and organizational tasks. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with PACH's leadership team, contributing to the organization's overall mission and vision. This position is open for internship credit. Qualifications Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Prior experience in administrative or executive support roles preferred. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization, particularly in the healthcare or social justice sector. Familiarity with community-based initiatives and grassroots organizing. Knowledge of healthcare policies and issues affecting marginalized communities. Experience with database management and record-keeping systems. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Vice President, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings and organizing travel arrangements. Assist in preparing and editing documents, presentations, and reports as needed. Coordinate communication between the Vice President and internal/external stakeholders. Maintain accurate records and files, including confidential information, in accordance with organizational policies. Assist in planning and coordinating events, meetings and special projects as assigned. Conduct research and gather data to support decision-making and strategic planning efforts. Serve as a liaison between the Vice President and other departments within the organization. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of PACH. By curating compelling content, you contribute to building awareness and understanding of our community health initiatives. Ability to work independently and with a team in a punctual manner. Proficient in understanding newsletter platforms, with a focus on Mailchimp. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in newsletter creation and management. Intermediate to advanced skills in Mailchimp or very similar platforms. Familiarity with health-related content and terminology. Storytelling. Phoenix Allies for Community Health is health-justice non-profit that grew out of the immigrants rights movement. Our main project is a volunteer driven free-clinic serving about 1000 immigrant families in the Phoenix Area. We're always looking for volunteers -- expecially those who are fluently bilingual or are licensed healthcare providers.
