Who We Are: NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness, especially those with serious mental illness. NAMI advocates for effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support, research and recovery that improves the quality of life of persons of all ages who are affected by mental illness. NAMI provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. To meet that goal, NAMI is building a movement. We seek to broaden public awareness and inclusion in every part of our alliance. We seek to increase our visibility and impact; strengthen our voice as a unified organization of lived experiences and maximize our outreach to and engagement with all communities.
NAMI Glendale serves Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Echo Park, Lincoln Heights, Glassell Park, Sunland, Tujunga, and surrounding areas by providing free education, advocacy, support, and leadership opportunities to anyone whose life has been effected by mental illness.
