About the Court
The State of Florida is divided into 20 judicial circuits. The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, serving Miami-Dade County, is the largest in the state and the fourth largest trial court in the nation. It’s 123 Circuit and County judges serve a population of over two million in a 2,000 square mile area. The Chief Judge provides direct judicial administration for the circuit and county courts. The Court Administrator manages the Administrative Offices of the Courts, whose primary purpose is to provide support to the judiciary and maintain the efficient operations of the courts. The Clerk’s Office is principally responsible for records management and enjoys a close working relationship with the court.

Volunteer Courthouse Ambassador Program
A Volunteer Courthouse Ambassador is the first person a courthouse visitor encounters upon entering the courthouse and serves as a guide by welcoming visitors and providing friendly assistance to help make their visit smooth and less stressful. The Ambassador acknowledges and welcomes courthouse visitors, answers questions, provides information, and directs visitors to the proper service window, office, floor, courtroom, or other facility, thus creating an atmosphere that is caring, helpful, and efficient. Our Program is committed to promoting community awareness of, and involvement in, the judicial branch of government.
