Mission Statement

The mission of the Cook County MRC is to enhance emergency preparedness and public health capacity in suburban Cook County by: increasing the number of trained volunteers who can be shared within a larger regional emergency response system, improve coordination and communication between MRC Units within this region, and promote collaboration, training and sharing of resources.

Description

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a group of locally organized medical and non-medical volunteers working together to strengthen the health and safety of Cook County. The goal of the MRC is to identify, train and prepare volunteers for activation before a public health emergency.
