Mission Statement

The mission of A Moment to Smile is to help children who have lost a parent to the disease of addiction, because the remaining parent or guardian of the child is experiencing financial hardship. We do not want these children to miss out on the simple joys of childhood. Some examples might be fees for a sports team so a child can play, fees for music or dance lessons so the child can continue with the lessons or a special present for the child's birthday, that they have requested. The request may be for a child that needs school supplies or a winter coat and boots. We cannot erase their grief, but we can give them a moment to just be a kid again, a moment to smile.
