Donor Relations Intern Position Overview: Canines for Change is seeking a motivated and passionate Donor Relations Intern to join our team. This unpaid college internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of nonprofit donor relations and development. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting our efforts to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with our donors, ensuring they feel informed, engaged, and valued for their contributions. This position is ideal for students interested in nonprofit management, fundraising, or public relations, who wish to make a tangible impact while enhancing their professional skills and understanding of donor relations. Key Responsibilities: Donor Communication Support: Assist in the creating, development and implementation of donor communications, such as email marketing, print marketing and personalized updates, to keep donors informed about the impact of their contributions. Donor Recognition Assistance: Help design and execute donor recognition initiatives and events, ensuring all donors receive timely and thoughtful acknowledgments. Database Management: Support the maintenance of accurate donor records using our CRM system, including tracking donations, preferences and engagement. Event Planning Support: Assist in coordinating Canines for Change annual golf outing, ensuring it provides a meaningful and engaging experience for attendees. Stewardship Support: Contribute to the development of customized stewardship plans for recurring, corporate and key donors, aimed at fostering long-term relationships. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various team members to align donor relations strategies with overall fundraising goals and to collect program outcomes for donor communications. Feedback Collection: Support efforts to gather and respond to donor feedback to enhance donor relations strategies. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field Strong interest in nonprofit work, especially in the area of donor relations and fundraising. Love dogs! Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Basic proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments. Creative and flexible, with a willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively. Passion for Canines for Change's mission. Internship Details: This is an unpaid internship, ideal for gaining educational credits or experience in the nonprofit sector. Flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments, with a minimum commitment of 10-20 hours per week. Position Summary: We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team. The Social Media Intern will play a key role in expanding our online presence, engaging with our community, and promoting our mission through various social media platforms. This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in nonprofit marketing and communications while contributing to a meaningful cause. Responsibilities: Create engaging content for Canines for Change's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Develop and execute social media campaigns to raise awareness about our organization and services. Monitor social media platforms for trends and opportunities to engage with our audience. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop new ideas for content and campaigns. Assist in the creation of multimedia content such as videos, graphics, and infographics. Research and implement social media best practices to optimize our reach and engagement. Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred). Strong passion for social media and digital marketing.
