Description

The Corporation for Findlay Market (CFFM) is a tax-exempt, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2001 to manage, operate, and develop Findlay Market. Since its founding, CFFM has worked in close cooperation with both the City Administration and market vendors. CFFM's mission includes improving sales and profitability for Findlay Market merchants, and attracting a diversity of new merchants to the market and surrounding business district.

It's role and functions are modeled on similar private, nonprofit organizations that operate successful public markets in other cities. CFFM's management duties include day-to-day operations, general maintenance, marketing and promotion, tenant coordination, leasing and new tenant recruitment, and customer service.

CFFM is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors whose individual members are carefully selected to provide a wealth of varied experience in business, law, public policy, and community development.

Findlay Market is the only surviving municipal market house of the nine public markets operating in Cincinnati in the 19th and 20th centuries. The market house is built on land donated to the City of Cincinnati by the estate of General James Findlay and Jane Irwin Findlay.
