The Fallbrook Food Pantry (FFP) is currently operating an Emergency Food Assistance Program as a point of distribution for government commodities delivered by the San Diego Food Bank. On a regular basis the FFP provides their 5,000+ clients with food once per week. Menu items change weekly and are created keeping a nutritious, balanced diet in mind. Each household selects grocery items suitable to the number of individuals in their family. The intent is to offer 3 days of groceries. Fresh produce, bread, and dairy items are included as available. Volunteers duties vary but include cleaning, sorting, bagging, and food distribution. Before volunteering, FFP asks that you attend a New Volunteer Orientation and First shift session. You can sign up for the orientation when you sign up for your first shift at our website, fallbrookfoodpantry.org Project Requirements & Important Notes Shifts: Mondays - Fridays, 8:30am - 1:00pm, Saturdays 7:00 am - 11:30am create an account at, fallbrookfoodpantry.org Court-ordered volunteers: The Fallbrook Food Pantry (FFP) accepts volunteers who have Court Mandated Service Hours (CMSH)- ONLY misdemeanor offenses will be considered eligible. Each candidate who wishes to fulfill their CMSH must interview with the Executive Director and provide all additional documentation requested. FFP reserves the right to deny an application. Its mission is to provide an adequate and nutritious supply of food to individuals in our community who are in-need.

Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities: Answer and direct phone calls Organize and schedule meetings and appointments Maintain contact lists Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Develop and maintain a filing system Order office supplies Book travel arrangements Submit and reconcile expense reports Provide general support to visitors Provide information by answering questions and requests Take dictation Research and creates presentations Generate reports Handle multiple projects This position is IDEAL for a student who is looking to expand their knowledge of office functions and support. Studies in Business, Management, Accounting and Social Work are encouraged. This is a stipend paid position for attending students ONLY.

Volunteer Coordinator duties: Seek New Volunteers Manage Sign-up/Registration Conduct New Volunteer Orientations Volunteer Appreciation Program other duties as necessary Programs Assistant duties: Assist Programs Manager with tasks related directly to programming (daily distribution, neighborhood distribution, EFAP, senior EFAP, Victory Outreach, Project Touch, Cooking Matters) Assistance with Special Events (M&M Charity Dinner, Race To End Hunger, Hunger Awareness Month, Adopt-A-Family) Administrative tasks other duties as necessary Requirements: Must be a current student seeking volunteer hours to meet class/professor criteria Available for a minimum of 100 hours Attend a 30-minute orientation Computer proficient Strong communication skills both written and verbal Personable, friendly, team player Previous volunteer experience preferred, but not necessary Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred
